Tips on Motivating Your Kids


Just the other day...I became a mom. Whew! I had LOTS to learn!! I remember when I was pregnant with my first daughter, my sister in law asked me if I was scared about the task ahead of me. Very nonchalantly I said, "Nah. I've been around my nieces and nephews so much, I think I know what to do. The only thing that truly scares me is potty training." OH. MY. GOODNESS...that makes me laugh!!! I was so naive! Poor little optimistic me. By the way, potty training still scares me and I'm now a mom of 3:)

How Will You Finish?


Just the other day...we buried our very own "Santa Claus", known to us simply as Mr. Al. Only a few weeks before Christmas, Mr. Al started not feeling well, so he went to the doctor. Diagnosis: Cancer. Just a few weeks later, the Lord called him away to his eternal home. It was a shock to our entire church and community. To my family, it was a huge blow because we had grown to love him immensely.

The Sweet Taste of Victory


Just the other day...I savored the sweet taste of victory. I can't explain in mere words the satisfaction it brought, the spiritual growth that occurred, and the way it deepened my friendship with the Lord. It was nothing short of amazing!

I'm Human and Weak; He is not!


Just the other day...I sat outside in the play fort with my oldest daughter. It was such a beautiful day, it just begged to be enjoyed! We took all of our homeschooling books outside, climbed to the highest part, and proceeded to get down to business.
